Call for papers: A proceedings volume will be published by the Utah Geological Survey for the meeting, with all pre-peer reviewed manuscripts submitted prior to Nov. 30, 2008. Presentations on management issues, and success stories between various organizations, individuals, and land management agencies are of particular interest.

Sessions are planned on the following topics:

  • Paleontological research on public lands
  • Permitting and museum collections
  • Partnerships in management and research
  • Law enforcement and fossil protection
  • Education stewardship and public involvement
  • International perspectives

We need sponsors to help offset the costs of various events at the meeting (social events, field trips, publications, etc.) and for supporting the attendance by students who will be presenting papers or posters at the conference. In addition, a limited number of exhibit tables will be available for both the 8th CFR and the BLM Cretaceous Conference. Cost per exhibit space is $500. Selected sponsors will receive an exhibit space as part of the sponsorship package.
